Adjusting Overload Clutch, Torque Setting
- Mount adapter in tap holder or AEU (vise adapter).
- Remove remaining wire spring.
- Insert square pin VEU and standard torque wrench.
- Turn torque wrench to determine actual setting.
- Turn adjusting nut clockwise to increase torque; counter clockwise to reduce torque. See page 291 for recommended setting values). Note: When tightening, always make sure the clutch will release.
- Replace the retaining wire spring. Make sure the bent end of the wire is inserted into the serrations on the adjusting nut.

Square Pin Type VS

These square pins establish the connection between torque wrench and adapter, whereby square K1 is introduced into the square of the torque wrench and D2 with square K2 is clamped into the adapter. |
